Located at the highest point of Cappadocia, Uçhisar Castle was carved into the rock during the Roman period for surveillance and defense. Its maze of tunnels and rooms reflects how ancient communities transformed it into a habitable fortress. While we won’t climb to the top, our guide will share detailed information at the base, followed by approximately 30 minutes of free time for exploration and photography.
Zelve Open-Air Museum
Zelve Valley is filled with rock-carved churches, monasteries, and dwellings from both pre-Christian and Christian eras. It became an important religious center from the 9th century onwards. Inhabited until the 1950s, the valley now serves as an open-air museum. We will take a scenic 1-hour walk through this historical site.
Love Valley
Famous for its extraordinary fairy chimney formations, Love Valley exudes a romantic atmosphere and is especially popular among couples. Sunrise or sunset walks here are ideal for experiencing the magic of Cappadocia. We will have approximately 20 minutes to stroll through the valley and capture breathtaking photos.
Avanos Pottery Workshop
Situated by the Red River (Kızılırmak), Avanos is renowned for its pottery tradition dating back to the Hittites. This craft has been passed down from generation to generation and is still practiced today on traditional kick wheels. We will observe the pottery-making process, learn about ceramic techniques, and one guest from our group will even try shaping their own pot. This stop will last about 1 hour. This viewpoint offers a bird’s-eye view of the heart of Cappadocia. Göreme with its fairy chimneys, rock-carved homes, and valleys forming a stunning natural tableau. It’s a favorite among photography enthusiasts. In the early morning, the landscape becomes even more captivating as hot air balloons fill the sky. As our first stop, we’ll spend about 20 minutes. Pigeon Valley
Named after the pigeon houses carved into the rocks, this valley was historically important due to the use of pigeon droppings as agricultural fertilizer. With its peaceful trails and stunning views, it’s a dream for nature lovers and photographers. We’ll spend about 15 minutes at the panoramic viewpoint. Kaymaklı Underground City
This massive 8-level underground city was built by early Christians to escape persecution. Complete with tunnels, food storage rooms, churches, and ventilation shafts, it boasts an impressive and complex design.
